capsicleized asked: You started watching "Julie & Julia" in your French class. As Amy Adams began to expound on the glories of butter, you immediately thought of one of your favorite bloggers: The Shameful Baker. You figured their ideas were pretty similar, so the connection wasn't too big a leap. But then, you've been too obsessed with food lately, even going so far as to letting your subconscious deluge you with dreams of macarons.
Ah. The Julie & Julia question.
While there’s been a rash of books and movies about cooking and baking saving people’s lives… this has not exactly been your experience—just talk to your last ten jobs, eight roommates, any of the family who is no longer speaking to you, or your Nana, who is still upset that you ate her 90th birthday cake. Not to mention the fact that your hobby is baking heart-shaped cookies while drinking Prosecco, crying, and listening to The Cure.
Actually—take that back. Your life is totally better.
